DAILY RACING FORM REDESIGNS ITS POPULAR DRF.COM WEB SITE
First Phase Brings Improved Navigation, Search Functionality
and Enhanced Editorial Content

NEW YORK, N.Y., Dec. 18, 2006 -- Daily Racing Form, the 112-year-old daily newspaper covering Thoroughbred racing, has launched the first phase of a major redesign of its popular drf.com web site that features improved navigation, personalization, search functionality and enhanced editorial content.

DRF.com, which averages more than 500,000 unique visitors and 17 million pages monthly, undertook the site redesign following extensive feedback from over 3,000 regular and former DRF customers. Based on these surveys and interviews, Daily Racing Form's priority was to make its site more user friendly while enhancing its comprehensive editorial and handicapping content.

Among the major improvements introduced in the first phase include:

* Homepage Redesign -- The new and rebranded DRF.com homepage now features horizontal navigation across the top of the page to provide easier access to more content and features. The homepage layout is also simpler, less cluttered and groups the editorial content by racetrack in an easy-to-use format.

* Search Functionality -- The new DRF.com introduces a dynamic search tool that is unprecedented for a horse racing site on the Internet. Offering its customers the ability to search for a horse, trainer, jockey or anything else covered by DRF, this search functionality will revolutionize the way people use the web site. The search tool initially will pull up all relevant entries, results and stories of the requested search with all e-commerce (past performance information) components available in a later phase.

* Dynamic Video Content -- The new DRF.com introduces "Weekend Warrior," which brings weekly video analysis and highlights to the site. DRF National handicapper Mike Watchmaker will expand on his weekly print column with a "Weekend Warrior" video analysis of the upcoming top stakes races, which will be available from Friday through Sunday. DRF.com members during the week will have access to replays of the Top 5 stakes races from the weekend, as voted upon in a DRF.com poll.

* Enhanced Editorial Content -- The new DRF.com takes advantage of its vast editorial resources with constantly updated stories throughout the day from its team of writers and handicappers across the country. Other homepage introductions includes the Top 5 most popular stories on the site and access to links to front pages of DRF's print editions (today and tomorrow).

* Personalized Member Center -- The new DRF.com offers subscribers easier access to the subscriptions.

"Daily Racing Form has been the unparalleled leader in the coverage of Thoroughbred racing for well over 100 years and this redesign of our popular DRF.com web site reflects not only a stronger brand extension but a true fusion of the two mediums," said Brent Diamond, Daily Racing Form President. "Nowhere else can both the devoted Thoroughbred horseplayer and casual horse racing fan receive the level of comprehensive editorial coverage and useful handicapping content and analysis that is provided on a daily basis at DRF.com."

"The digital age has transformed the news media and this redesign represents a new editorial philosophy that melds our daily newspaper and online editions into a dynamic force that benefits both audiences," said Steven Crist, Chairman and Publisher of Daily Racing Form.

"We received a clear message from our subscribers and visitors on what improvements they would like us to make to enhance their experience with our online edition," said Marc Attenberg, Vice President of DRF.com. "This new design combines our powerful brand and unsurpassed editorial resources with a friendlier navigational format that still gives our customers the richer and more useful online experience they desire."
